Providing fire protection to over 160 square miles of the Norwood Community since 1954. We aren't a city department—we are your neighbors, a community department funded by your membership and donations.
"To protect life and property in our community from loss due to fire, medical or any emergency in which we can be of service."
The Norwood Community Volunteer Fire Department is the primary responder for over 160 square miles of our community. However, we are an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit and do not receive any city, county, or tax funding. We rely entirely on membership fees, donations, and fundraisers to operate.
